ROCCABOX UNBOXING - DECEMBER 2018 BOX

It's the last month of the year which means the final beauty boxes of 2018. And it's been so fun receiving boxes each month with new brands and new products to discover and try out.

And I've really loved being subscribed to Roccabox. I've enjoyed pretty much every box from them that I've received and feel the box is good value for your money.

This month's box has five products and I've been pretty impressed with what I have received.

I really loved last month's box from them as well. It was slightly different and I like how they decided to go that way with their box. They do try and keep a change all the time which is nice.

This month's box has some interesting products to try but the reason I think I've probably given this box a thumbs up is because the products are stuff I actually feel I am going to use because I need them.

I absolutely love the smell of the products by Feather and Down. They really are that kind of smell that instantly relaxes you and can put you to sleep. I did try their shower cream which I wasn't a big fan of as the lather was absolutely rubbish but I'm hoping the pillow spray from them will be good instead. I am definitely going to try it out.

Although, I chose the Soaper Duper hand cream in a different beauty box, I'm also happy to have received their body lotion in this month's box as well. It's definitely something I am going to try out. Their products smell absolutely amazing too.

Included in this month's box is a primer by Figs & Rouge. I actually received this product in a different beauty box and have only just gotten around to trying out. So if I end up enjoying it (I really have only just started using it) then it'll be nice to have a back up.

The lip pen by Ellis Faas is definitely intriguing. I absolutely love the packaging too. Not sure if the colour will be for me though.

And the final product is an eye mask by Biocell. I absolutely plan to have a pamper session before the festivities start so I am going to try this eye mask out.

I've really enjoyed Roccabox and can't wait to see what they bring for 2019. Are you subscribed to Roccabox? What did you think of this month's box?

GLOSSYBOX UNBOXING - DECEMBER'S 2018 UK BOX

I'm so late to blogging this month but work has been so hectic lately that I come home absolutely drained with no will power to write anything and the weekends have been just as busy lately.

So I am pretty behind on blogging about this month's beauty boxes and am probably behind everybody else but I am still adamant to get them posted and let you all know my thoughts on the final beauty boxes of 2018.

So this month's Glossybox contains five products that are all FULL SIZED 😮 and including one extra treat.

Pretty impressive, huh?

Well, that all depends on if the products have been right for you. Because I know so many people were left pretty underwhelmed with this month's box.

And not to get ahead of myself, I'm just going to go straight into letting you all know what
products were in this month's box.

So you get your information card in the box which just lets you know product information, as well as the size of the product you are receiving and the Rrp as well. You also get a sneak peek of one of the products you will receive in the next box ahead.

I was definitely fine with receiving a shower gel in this box. I know others get very annoyed with such products like this but I love shower gels and trying different ones and have been wanting to try the new 'Fantasy Icons Cosmic Unicorn Shower Gel' by Imperial Leather. Honestly, they are super good shower gels and are really inexpensive too.

I'm not really a fan of red lippy as I find it makes my lip look tiny and doesn't ever compliment my looks. And others tell me I look washed out with reds so I was kind of bummed to see the 'Relentless Matte Lip Crayon' by Winterberry in this box. I mean it makes sense if there is going to be lip products in this month's box then they're going to be a shade of red. Just unfortunately I don't pull it off, although I'm sure it's amazing; I do love a good lip crayon.

A highlighter has also been included which is the 'Shimmer Roll' by Bellapierre Cosmetics. To be honest, I'm not really a fan of highlighters that are not powdered so I don't even know if I will bother trying this out.

The same applies to the 'Liquid Jelly Blush' by Bali. I very rarely wear blusher and when I do, again it's powdered and I know I have a cream blusher from a previous box so don't feel I need something quite so similar.

And the final full sized product, I have also received in a previous box and not yet gotten round to testing out. And that's the 'Divine Hydra-Gel Lip Mask by Beauty BLVD. I definitely am going to try it out eventually so if I like it, I'll have a back up and if I don't, well, I can just give it away.

The extra treat included is 'The Incredible Pore Strip's by Maybeauty.

Below is the list of the products with their Rrp

1. Shimmer Roll by Bellapierre Cosmetics - FULL SIZE Rrp £19.99

2. Fantastic Icons Cosmic Unicorn Shower Gel by Imperial Leather - FULL SIZE Rrp £1.99

3. Divine Hydra Gel Lip Mask by Beauty BLVD - FULL SIZE - Rrp £7.50

4. Relentless Matte Lip Crayon by Winterberry - FULL SIZE - Rrp £16.95

5. Liquid Jelly Blush by Bali - FULL SIZE - Rrp £12

Extra Treat - The Incredible Pore Strip by Maybeauty - Rrp £3.50 - FULL SIZE

Total - £61.93

I didn't think much of this month's box. The price point of it has nothing to do with it either. I know this was the issue for a lot of people but the total value of the box is over sixty pounds so it's still worth the monthly price of £10 pounds. I was pretty underwhelmed just because the products weren't really for me. But as I've said before that's the thing with beauty boxes. You don't know what you're going to receive and it's a risk you take. I know last month's box off them was great and I know some people have loved this box but so it's just the way it goes sometimes.

Are you subscribed to Glossybox? What did you think of this month's box?

LATEST IN BEAUTY DECEMBER UNBOXING

It's the last month of the year. Woohooo. Happy December all. And, boy, am I glad we are coming to an end of this year. I know I said that in my last blog post, but 2018 really has been such a rubbish year for me. I'll be glad to see the back of it.

Although, I am super duper excited for Christmas. I'm definitely a festive kind of person. I just love the atmosphere around the holidays; The endless Christmas music, the lights switched off in the lounge so you can relax and drink mulled wine with the Christmas tree lights on..and the food. So much good food to eat and a good time with the people who for the rest of the year just piss you off most of the time.

But I love Christmas. Which means I've also been really excited to see what the December beauty boxes are going to be like that and if they will be delivering a Christmas theme to them.

Well, I've got to say, I was kind of disappointed with Latest In Beauty. Their December boxes will come all beautifully Christmas wrapped, with an extra treat and chocolates included in each box. I missed out on this beautifully Christmas themed idea by one day, probably even less. I literally received the email like I do every month which says payment has been taken and you can start your box, for me to then pick out all my products, receive my usual confirmation email, only for them to send another email only a few hours later to say when you build your box from the next day onwards you get it Christmas themed. Kind of gutted to know if I had left it a few hours and received the second email, I would have been able to wait until the next day to build it. Oh well.

But aside from that, I'm still over the moon yet again with the box I have built. I can honestly say I've never had any disappointments with the products fron Latest In Beauty and am always really pleased with each box I build. I honestly do keep expecting that on one of my montly builds I will find there aren't all that many products that interest me but LIB just keep adding more products and making sure that the consumers don't run out of new products to choose and try.

And what I love about LIB is that it's the one box where I know I will definitely want to try every product out because I picked them myself. I do tend to lean towards more body and skincare products with LIB and I tend to pick products that I actually need and not necessarily what I just fancy trying.

I'm always using hand cream and get through lots of it so I'm always choosing one in every box each month. I did pick two in this month's box as I tend to get through a bottle a little before the next box is due.

I absolutely love the smell of the hand cream by Soaper Duper. I've also been using the hand cream by Laidbare. It's not my favourite of smells but it does the job.

The smell of the Impulse 'Tropical Beach & Espresso' is amazing. I honestly recommend trying it as a daytime spray. I can remember using Impulse and the Charlie sprays when I was a teenager and they're not something I buy at all anymore but when I saw LIB had a few to choose from, for old times sake I just had to choose one to try out.

I haven't tanned in such a long time but with the holidays fast approaching, it's something I'm definitely going to be doing soon. And so I wanted a good exfoliator to use prior to tanning. I absolutely love the Dr. Organic moisturiser and use it on a daily basis so when I saw that I could choose the Body Polish Pre-Tan Exfoliator by them, I wanted to give it a try. It's a generous size too so I know it will last awhile.

A toner isn't something I ever use as part of my skin care regime but I've wanted to try a toner out and see if it makes a difference and becomes an added benefit, so I picked the treatment toner by Merumava. I've got to say it doesn't smell the prettiest but I'm still keen to try it out.

I also chose some Wellwoman energy tablets and some cute little hair ties.

I don't tend to always use shaving gel so when I saw the shaving gel by the brand Queen of..., I wanted to give it a try.

And the final product is a 10ml sample size of the Sarah Jessica Parker perfume lovely. It's a roller vial and definitely is a unique smell. I'm not sure how I feel about it but I absolutely love having the opportunity to trial perfumes. I've been pretty tempted to subscribe to a perfume subscription box.

The only thing I wish Latest In Beauty would have more of, and that's makeup. I feel they are very limited to the makeup you can choose and although I do prefer skincare and bodycare products to choose from, it would be nice to have some makeup products to select.

Are you subscribed to Latest In Beauty? What products did you pick in your box?

REVIEWING THE W7 KISS INK LIQUID LIPSTICK RANGE

I realised the other day that I haven't been blogging all that much lately and when I do it's always about the beauty boxes I'm subscribed to.

Although I love blogging about them, I really do miss blogging about other stuff and I'm not sure why I stopped as I honestly have so many products to try out and review on my blog and can easily find other stuff to blog about too.

A lifetime ago I bought some liquid lipsticks from the brand W7 to try out and review on my blog, as well as film over on my youtube channel. And a few weeks ago I did eventually get around to filming and testing them out. But then for some reason I lost half the video, tried to correct it, couldn't, so cried and gave up.

But I really want to share with you my thoughts on these and feel it's worth making a blog post about.

The liquid lipsticks I purchased are part of their Kiss Ink range which are still currently available to buy on their website.

I purchased the four shades they have which are;

Love You Long Time
Stuck On You
Infinity & Beyond
Forever And Ever

Before I go any further, I will say that the brand W7 is ridiculously cheap and they do sell a variety of makeup products you can try out, as well as some skincare stuff too. I've tried different products off them and do believe from my experience that you do get what you pay for. But some stuff is honestly really good and then there are some products that are not so good. Which to be fair, kind of applies to most brands out there.

Anway,

This is what the liquid lipsticks look like by the way. I really actually like the packaging. It didn't feel that cheap and flimsy. I liked the design of the tops as well. As for the size of these? You get 7ml worth of product in each and they retail at £5.95 each.

The thing I tend to look for in a product (Aside from the formula being the obvious) is the wand. I've tried some liquid lipsticks before and have absolutely hated the wands, be it the quality, the way they're shaped, how they bend, etc.

As for how they applied? Well beautifully actually. Like super soft and creamy. They glided on like a dream. Actually they were probably the best liquid lipsticks I've ever tried that, well, felt so good when applying.

Next, the formula... I definitely found some performed better than others. The formula was quite thin in constitency and I did have to apply layers with some of them as it was quite sheer on my lips. They looked beautiful after though. They dried down really well and felt lightweight on. I couldn't tell I had the product on at all.

I wasn't a fan of the shade Infinity & Beyond just because of the colour being a very bold pink. Although it was beautiful, it just didn't suit me at all.

There was no transfer either which is super good for any lip product in my opinion.

Now onto the negatives because there is usually always bound to be one. When it came to taking a drink of water the product literally became crumble like on my lips. Now usually I drink most fluids through a straw so it probably wouldn't have happened if I had used a straw when testing but not everybody does so I wanted to test that and see how well it lasted. Which is a really big let down of the product because although I know you're usually going to have to do a touch up if you drink quite a lot in a short period of time or have something to eat when wearing a liquid lippy it really did react at the slightest wetness of the lips.

But honestly I think they're absolute great liquid lipsticks and I will definitely wear them from time time.

Here are some swatches I did by the way

NOVEMBER'S LATEST IN BEAUTY BOX - THE PRODUCTS I CHOSE

I'm back with my third Latest In Beauty box and I'm honestly just as happy with the products I have picked in this box as the previous ones. Latest In Beauty is honestly one of my favourite beauty boxes and I'm so glad to have discovered them.

Anyway,

I do try and choose a variety of different products but I have found I mainly gravitate towards skincare products and that's also because I have to say Latest In Beauty are quite limited to the makeup items they have. More of their skincare items are more interesting than the makeup they have, for me personally.

I do also try to choose things that I really feel I may need.

Like these facial wipes by the brand Salcura. They're supposedly good for acne and oily skin. I do suffer from breakouts but can't say I get all that oily. I have tried these wipes a few times and am definitely not all that wowed by them.

I've never tried any nail polish by Sally Hansen before and a lot of people say their polishes are some of the best out there. So I just had to pick their Jingle Red Rock duo with a top coat.

I've never tried hair removal cream before and have been really curious to try it out and see if it works better than shaving. I definitely am curious to try around the bikini line as shaving can be a real pain there.

I also picked out a sheet mask by the brand The Perfect V. I honestly have so many freaking masks to try out and use.

I use the Bondi Sands Ultra Dark Foam and really love it but when I saw the St Tropez Gradual Tan In Shower I wanted to give it a try. I'm not expecting it to be anywhere near as good as Bondi Sands and I have tried St Tropez a long time ago and wasn't impressed with how the tan looked but I am hoping as it's a shower lotion it might look nicer.

I did choose another hand cream by the brand Natural Siberica as I am frequent hand cream user and wasn't all that much of a fan of the one I picked in the last box.

And even though I use an electric toothbrush I did get a toothbrush by the brand The Humble Co.

The last products is a tube of Sudocrem and, finally, a moisturising sorbet by Caudalie.

I really recommend Latest In Beauty for those who have been subscribed to beauty boxes before and cancelled due to repeating disappointment.

ROCCABOX UNBOXING - UNBOXING NOVEMBER'S PAMPER BOX

So I know I've said in quite a few of my beauty unboxing blog posts and videos that I haven't been minding the frequent face masks I've been getting in all of the other boxes this past few months..

Well after this box, I definitely think I have enough to keep me going for awhile.

This month's Roccabox is all about getting pampered and looking after your skin ahead of the festive season. Collaborating with Freeman Beauty, this month's box is jammed packed with face masks of all varieties to take care of your skin needs.

It's definitely surprised me to see their box with one main beauty product and I like the change. I do love face masks and obviously they're something you can get through quickly if you do them on a frequent basis, plus I always enjoy trying out new brands as well. Although it is mainly geared towards masks, they do include three other items in the box.

So the first sheet is their Beauty Infusion Sheet Mask. You know, I don't usually go for sheet masks and the ones I have tried are always really crappy to adjust to fit and always just look ridiculous on me.

Another sheet mask is their Pore Cleansing strawberry and mint sheet mask.

There's also a lip plumping mask in manuka honey and nectarine. I'm definitely keen to try this mask out as I've never tried a lip mask before and I can get really dry lips too.

Another mask is their Polishing Charcoal + Black Sugar Gel Mask + Scrub

And the final mask is their Purifying Avocado + Oatmeal Clay Mask.

They also included some Cranberries and Cream heart bath fizzers that honestly smell so nice. I can't wait to try them out.

Included in the box is a sample of some Tumeric Matcha Green Tea by Pure Chimp

And finally, a flat foundation brush by the brand Niré.

I am a bath kind of person and really enjoy doing a face mask and soaking in a nice hot bubble bath so I'm definitely really happy with the contents in this month's box and feel like each product I can make good use of.

Are you subscribed to Roccabox? What did you think of this month's box?

MUMSY BOX UNBOXING POST - NOVEMBER'S 2018 BOX

You ever love the packaging of a product so much, sometimes even more than the product itself? Well this month's Mumsy Box outer packaging has seriously got me like..damn

Because it's stunning and is the first of their boxes that I know I'm just going to have to keep.

I love the design. I mean it's just the kind  of design I would have wanted on my bedroom wall when I was a child and it seriously reminds me of the gold painted starts I had on my ceiling  and I always felt calm when I looked up at them.

All the boxes that come each month have a design on the box but this particular one is my favourite.

And if you watched my video on their October's box or read my blog post then you'll know I was seriously underwhelmed with the contents you received in the box and did feel pretty cheated for my money.

Well I'm glad to see that this month's box seems to be much better in value. I have really been enjoying the discovery of the products inside Mumsy boxes and would hate to have to cancel another box due to having disappointment each month.

So the products in this month's box are mainly skincare products with some treats thrown in too.

I know I kept saying for ages that I loved receiving face masks but boy I think I spoke to soon because I've been receiving so many face masks lately and have also received another box this month that is face mask geared so I have so many to try out. This particular mask is by the brand Spacemasks and is actually an eye mask which I'm definitely glad about as I haven't received an eye mask yet so I'll definitely be making use of this.

I was also pretty stoked to see a cuticle oil in this box as I suffer so badly from dry cuticles and nail grooves. Having a recent pedicure has helped but it's a ongoing problem for me.

There's also a sample size of the Reviving Facial Oil by Urban Veda. I'm pretty glad it's sample size as I do have a facial oil I occasionally use (When I remember to) and know that I have another one from a previous box to try if I did run out of the current one.

There is also a small bottle of the Shampoo, Bath, and Shower Gel by Amazing Grace. It does smell pretty nice and although I love shower gels and trying different ones I'm always skeptical when it comes to shower gels in beauty boxes as I usually find they're a let down. And the back of the bottle does say prolonged use can cause urinary tract issues. Not quite sure what to make of that.

There is another product from Urban Veda which is their Reviving Day Cream. I still need to get around to trying their facial polish and wash received in the previous Mumsy box.

And the final product is the Pure Mylk chocolate by Raw Halo.

That's all the products in this month's box and they have actually given prices for the first time.

1. Shampoo, Bath, Shower Gel by Amazing Grace - Rrp £19.50 / 489ml - SMALL SIZE - 30ML

2. Nail & Cuticle Oil by Absolute Aromas. Rrp £5.26 / 10ML - FULL SIZE

3. Reviving Day Cream by Urban Veda Rrp £18.99 / 50ml - SMALL SIZE

4. Reviving Facial Oil by Urban Veda Rrp £29.99 / 30ml - SAMPLE SIZE

5. Pure Mylk by Raw Halo Rrp £2.79 / 35g - FULL SIZE

6. Self Heating Eye Mask by Spacemasks Rrp £3.50 X1 - FULL SIZE

Are you a Mumsy box subscriber? What did you think of this month's box?
