GLOSSYBOX UNBOXING - MARCH'S BOX

So what did everybody think of this months Glossybox?

This months box has definitely been one of my least favourites by them in a long time. I felt the box was pretty underwhelming, not only in the products received but in the total value of the box as well.

I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting for this months box but compared to all the other boxes I have received for March, I really felt they were seeing ahead for Spring and tying in products for that. I just felt this month's box didn't have the same feel.

Although, I was super happy to see a product by The Body Shop. I received the Coconut noursishing body butter. I'm not usually a fan of coconut smelling things but it's so subtle and smells really really nice. And for some reason this month has been the month to receive body butters as this is my third body butter from the beauty boxes this month. So I'm probably glad this body butter is not full sized. Plus, I really dig the brands morals and ethics and their stance on the environment, animals, and people.

The next product I will end up giving away as it's not a product I could see myself ever using and that's the Dew Pot Utopia by Laritzy Cosmetics. I can't get to bed with any other highlighter than powder ones and have more than enough highlighters. One is literally enough and lasts forever.

Another lip balm is kind of disappointing to see as there is literally one in every beauty box lately. The Plumper Lip Balm by Bybi contains hints of peppermint and capsicum that protects dry lips, will plump your pout and enhance its natural shape. I will end up giving this away too as I have a lip balm I use and really enjoy, and that lasts ages too. Plus, I have a back up too. There's no point in having any more balms.

The Instant Matte Make Up Setting Spray by Essence is lightweight, oil free and non sticky, and will your keep your foundation in place. I've always wanted to try something from Essence so will keep this as I'm running low on my current setting spray.

And the last product is the Kiss Proof Lip Creme by Bellapierre. The shade I received is Incognito which is my kind of shade.

Below is the products listed with the size and Rrp.

Nourishing Body Butter by The Body Shop (Deluxe Mini 50ml) Rrp £15 for 200ml - £6 for deluxe mini.

Dew Pot Utopia by Laritzy Cosmetics (Full Sized) Rrp £15.30

Plumper Lip Balm by Bybi. (Full Sized) Rrp £9

Instant Matte Make-Up Setting Spray by Essence (Full Sized) Rrp £3

Kiss Proof Lip Creme by Bellapierre (Full Sized) Rrp 20

ROCCABOX UNBOXING - MARCH 2019 BOX

This month's box is all about GRLPWR and celebrating all the things that make us fabulously female. Everything inside this month's box has been chosen to make us feel confident and ready for anything.

There are a total of six products in March's box. The first product I actually picked out in a different beauty box previously and that's The Perfect V Beauty Sheets. I actually only discovered after picking this sheet out that it's not a sheet mask for your face. I'm still kind of unsure what it's actually meant to do for your vagina but I am going to try it out because it's got me pretty intrigued.

Included is a Stress Check Roll on by This Works. I love these type of products as the scent is super soothing and relaxing but I don't quite get this product. It fades far too quickly to actually bask in the scent and have a chance to see the effects of the product.

There are also hair ties by PopBand which I also have two packs from seperate beauty boxes. I'll probably give this packet away. They work to hold hair up tight and kink free.

And like there has been for month's on end in almost every beauty box each month, another hair mask is included. The thickening hair and scalp mask intense by Grow Gorgeous is enriched with amino acids, pea peptide, caffeine, biotin and niacinamide leaving thin hair healthier, thicker and fuller looking. I will be giving this away as I still have a few hair masks for previous boxes I haven't yet opened.

There's also a Detox Purifying Recovery Mask by Mudmasky. It refines pores and brightens, whilst keeping your skin hydrated and smooth.

And the final product which is the most exciting is the Huda Beauty liquid matte lipstick. Unfortunately I have this exact shade Girlfriend so don't feel I need the exact same one. I'll be getting rid of this too. I definitely know this is pretty exciting to have in a beauty box and I was really excited when they announced a product by Huda Beauty. Just no point keeping the same liquid lipstick in the same shade.

This month's box hasn't been my favourite and that's only because a lot of the products I've already received and some products I also have plenty of. But I think it's a really good box and they did really well with the products.

Below is the products and their sizes and Rrp.

Thickening Hair & Scalp Mask Intense - Grow Gorgeous (Mini Size 60ml) Rrp £25 for full size 280ml

Detox Purifying Recovery Mask - Mudmasky (Travel Sized 20ml) Rrp £19 - £60 for for Full Sized 60ml

Liquid Matte In Girlfriend - Huda Beauty (Full Sized) Rrp £18

The Perfect V Beauty Sheets (Full Sized) Rrp £2.50

Stress Check Roll On - This Works (Mini Size 5ml) Rrp £16 for Full Sized 8ml

Hair ties - PopBand (Full Sized) Rrp £8

LOOK FANTASTIC - MARCH 2019 UNBOXING

Well hey everybody,

I absolutely love this month's beauty box from Look Fantastic and I am so over the moon with the products inside which really does make a change for me as I've been pretty on the fence with their boxes. So I'm actually excited to blog about this month's box.

Apparently this month's box doesn't have a good total value like some of their others boxes but I'm just really happy that I've had a box from them where most products I know I'm going to end up trying out and using and that have actually excited me.

Onto the contents ..

I was super excited to see a product by The Ordinary as I've been wanting to try their products for ages but just have never gotten around to purchasing anything. And this particular product I am definitely intrigued to try with having dry and dehydrated skin from time to time. The Hyaluronic Acid 2% helps to deliver long lasting moisture and acts as a hydration support to leave skin smooth, plump and youthful looking.

The hand cream by Rituals honestly smells so beautiful. A little bit goes a long way. It leaves your skin soft and it's not a greasy formula. I've been using it every day since receiving it. It says it contains Shea butter and organic rice milk and replenishes and rejuvenate hands. The smell literally reminds me of the Poison perfume by Dior.

I was really excited to see a product by Morphe as I've never tried anything from the brand before and I know there are a lot of mixed reviews out there so I'm curious about their products. The mini highlighter in spark is definitely not super pigmented and I think it will give a really subtle glow. I think I prefer that as some highlighters can be super blinding and be harsh to blend out.

Included in the box is the Madara Smart Anti-pollution Charcoal And Mud Repair Mask. Infused with antioxidants, vitamins, and essential minerals, this mask draws out dirt, impurities and pollution build up, leaving the complexion radiant and revitalised.

The Cleansing Foam by Omorovicza I will definitely keep and use as I get through cleansers quickly and I'm always trying out new products and discovering new favourites. Containing white lupin to energise the skin and detoxifying copper gluconate, skin will be left fresh and clear they say.

And the final product is the Eos Lip Balm. Enriched with Shea butter and conditioning oils to give softer and nourished lips, it's also certified 100% organic and natural.

I will give away the Eos lip balm as I have a lip balm that I currently use and know will last for ages. I'll probably get rid of the mask as well as I have loads at the moment to use up. I'm excited to try out The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid and the cleansing foam by Omorovicza. The Morphe highlighter I'll also get around to trying out too.

For this box I can't do a list of sizes and Rrp as they don't actually do that for Look Fantastic.

MUMSY BOX - MARCH 2019 BOX

I haven't blogged on Mumsy box in quite awhile but I'm so over the moon with this month's box and the contents inside that it's been the second blog post on all the boxes I have received for March so far to have a really enthusiasm to get blogging about. (I swear my sentences never make sense :-\ )

And it's Mumsy Box first year so happy birthday to them. 🎂🎂

They actually went back to their first box design for their anniversary which I absolutely love and will definitely be keeping.

And the products are amazing and every single one I am super happy to have received.

The first product is a body butter by Sanctuary Spa. And if I haven't mentioned them loads on my social media enough, I'm literally in love with the brand and love their products. It says with a blend of Shea and cocoa butter, sweet almond and macadamia nut oil it melts into skin to leave it feeling instantly nourished and soft and smooth to touch.

There's also another body butter by the brand Feather and Down. I absolutely love this brand and the scent of their products. They're super soothing and relaxing and make you feel content in my opinion. I use their pillow mist and am pretty obsessed with it. It says to use this body butter at night time.

And I have actually received a product from this brand before in a different beauty box which I am sure was an eyeliner. This is the Lash to Lash mascara by Memi. Designed to separate, lengthen and curl your lashes, this mascara is water and smudge resistant.

There's a liquid lipstick by the brand Steve Laurant. I actually received a liquid lipstick by this brand before but was in a shade that just doesn't suit me so it's brand new. But this shade seems my kind of colour so I can't wait to try it out. It says it has a velvet like finish that glides on smoothly and lasts all day. I'm not sure why the tube name is different to the box. I'm definitely going to query it with Mumsy box before using.

And there is a tanning product in this month's box. As we are slowly creeping out of Winter, I have been expecting to see more tanning products making their way into the beauty boxes. This product is the St Tropez Gradual Tan Watermelon Infusion Moisture Miracle Everyday Body Lotion.

And the final product is a Moisturiser by the brand Philosophy. I have actually tried a shower gel and shampoo in one by the brand before. This award winning moisturiser is clinically proven to help renew your skin.

Mini Body Butter - Sanctuary Spa (Full Size 50ml) Rrp £2.50 50ml

Liquid Lipstick (In the shade Bestie) - Steve Laurant (Full size) Rrp £16

Gradual Tan Watermelon Infusion Moisture Miracle Everyday Body Lotion - St Tropez (Travel Size 50ml ) Rrp £14.50 for full size 200ml

Sleep Body Butter - Feather & Down (Travel Size 50ml) Rrp £8 300ml

Lash to Lash Mascara - Memi (Full Size) Rrp £10

Moisturiser - Philosophy (Sample Size)

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Foundation - My Review

Okay, so I know I'm really late to reviewing this particular product seeing as it's been out for month's. I was a lot later than everybody else to purchase and try it out as well and, well, now that I have, I'm itching to tell you my thoughts.

I haven't blogged anything other than beauty box unboxing posts and haven't reviewed a particular product on my blog in forever but after trying the Conceal & Define Foundation by Makeup Revolution I knew this was going to be the first product I was going to be reviewing this year on the blog.

So most people know of the brand Makeup Revolution but for those of you reading this who just might not, let me tell you that they are a ridiculously cheap UK makeup brand and sell a heck of a lot of products. And for the price, you really do get some pretty amazing stuff. Like in my opinion they are the best brand out there for the best quality products at the prices they sell. If that sentence even made sense at all.

They have also come under controversy a few times for their products having similarity in other brands products. And they have also come under criticism for how many releases they have. But they've become very popular and are now a well known established brand.

So the Conceal and Define foundation followed from their Conceal and Define concealers which are supposedly similar to the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer (Can't comment on that as I haven't tried the shape tape before) and it's been very well received. And it's bloody inexpensive too. Like £3 pounds I'm pretty sure. Is it good? It didn't work all that well for me but the price point is amazing for the quality in my opinion.

So I think everybody was excited when they announced the release of their Conceal & Define Foundation. Plus, they had a really good shade range that was inclusive.

They now have 50 shades to choose from and the foundation is only £9 pounds. The foundation boasts of an oil free, creamy demi-matte finish that won't settle into fine lines or cling to dry patches. It's a full coverage foundation that comes in a glass bottle with a jumbo doe-foot applicator.

I did originally purchase the foundation in the shade F.2 which is for fair skin tones with yellow undertones and then realised it was completely the wrong shade so I ended up ordering the shade F6.5 which is a near enough match but I could have probably gone with the shade F6. Here is a swatch of F6.5

I wasn't a fan of the applicator to begin with just because I feel a pump was easier to use and have always preferred them. I have grown to love the applicator.

I'm not one to be funny with dipping my fingers into skincare products and applying directly onto my face. I kind of look at it like we touch more in our surroundings in every day life and probably touch our face a hundred times after so having clean hands and touching your face doesn't gross me out. But I know some people who are really ick with that kind of thing and could argue the applicator isn't all that sanitary. I mean probably most of us wouldn't find that as a criticism but I know some people would so it's probably worth mentioning.

The foundation is definitely full coverage and a little bit did go a long way. I did feel with my acne scarring and large pores, I did have to apply a second layer which was okay. I mean it was buildable but for sure didn't look as flawless compared to applying just one amount. Less definitely looked better.

This is a picture of the foundation on and a picture of me bare faced.

Onto the smell because again the smell of certain foundations really seems to put people off. It kind of reminded me a little bit of the Mac foundations. Well known for smelling paint like but I kind of love that and found no issue with the way the product smelled. It certainly didn't linger once I had applied it so perhaps assuring for those who hate that type of smelling foundations.

The foundation definitely felt lightweight on my face. I didn't feel like I was wearing makeup and it stayed like that until I took it off. I didn't feel it went well with any of the primers I used but then I'm just on the fence with primers anyway and usually find they make foundation look worse.

Did it last well? It lasted better with a good setting spray but I wasn't all too thrilled to see how transferable it was. I only had to press my finger on my face and it would transfer off. Like super easy where you could see the texture and redness of skin peeking through. Not great. And it's pretty hard to not touch your face when we all do it consciously. It was definitely annoying to be at work and catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and see it had all disappeared off my nose or a certain patch on my face.

The last thing, and what completely made me decide I didn't like this foundation was just how much it broke me out. I'm prone to breakouts anyway but this foundation really caused bad breakouts every single time I used it. I've actually ended up not using it at all anymore and have had no makeup on for at least a fortnight to get my skin back under control. I'm super disappointed with this foundation. I think if it didn't cause such bad breakouts I could have managed the bad transfer of the foundation but these two things have really let the product down. Other than that, it really is such a good foundation for the price and could have easily been one of the best foundations out there if it wasn't for the reaction I had to the formula. I don't know if this has caused the same problem with others who have used this product or if the product just doesn't agree with me. I'm not sure.

I have purchased their Fast Stick Foundation to try out as well so I'll probably review the foundation on the blog too.

If you have tried the Conceal and Define Foundation by Makeup Revolution, leave a comment below and let me know your thoughts on the product
