Sorting through outfits for the Summer - Daytime dresses (Part 2)

Hey guys,

I'm back with Part 2 of my Summer outfits post. I got a lot of views on Part 1 so thanks to everyone who read it.

I have done another sort out of my wardrobe and other clothes spaces I have and brought more stuff out. I'm hoping once it's more organised I'll take some pictures and pop them in a post.

Also I've cropped out my face in most pictures like my last post because I want to have the picture just fixed on the outfits for the point of the post and because I'm never happy with how invisible my makeup looks on camera (So if anyone can recommend something for that do let me know)

Anyway, so my last post I think I showed six dresses and you could probably see a Summer vibe in most of the outfits and similarities.

You'll find this post is going to show the same similar outfits because I do tend to see something I like, buy it, and then end up ordering the same style of outfits.

Plus I love these kind of outfits I'm going to show you because they're super comfortable and lightweight for the Summer and you can dress up or down wearing these dresses.

I literally bought three of the above dresses and it's probably one of my favourite dresses I own. It's super soft and comfortable and really good material for hot weather.

And then I ended up buying a very similar dress in a pink colour. They're honestly gorgeous to wear with heels if you're going for a drink during the day or I end up wearing them with some trainers if I go for a hike with my OH. They're so flattering.

And I got another basic dress, only slightly longer because I do prefer longer dresses.

And then I bought another similar one, only without the sleeves.

I really love wearing this dress with a tshirt underneath and sometimes without.

And once again I got another similar dress, just a slightly different style.

Like I said at the start of my post I do tend to gravitate towards similar dresses once I set my eyes on a certain dress. I end up really digging the style and make sure I have more than one to wear. And these dresses are so basic and so comfortable and good to dress up or down in.

And the last one which is slightly different is actually handmade. I didn't make it myself but bought it off an independent seller. It's super cute and, again, perfect for daytime.

So that is the dresses I have pulled out and plan to wear again this Summer during the days.

I do have other posts like this I plan to publish soon.

Glossybox unboxing - March 2018 UK box

Hey everyone,

I'm back with another Glossybox unboxing post. I know it's later than usual but I literally only received the box yesterday.

I think there's been an issue with dispatches this month despite no confirmation from Glossybox on this. Only because I usually receive the box two days max after the dispatch date (Which was the 10th) and always get a dispatch email which I never received at all. I also know some people still haven't received their boxes as well.

But enough of that.

So this months box has gone back to the usual baby pink Glossybox. And you get your usual five products in the box too.

The card does seem to have the same pattern as one of the previous boxes. There are twelve products in total on the card and you get your five products out of the twelve. I do think they have worded it better this time and it's pretty clear you will get five products only. The last box did cause a lot of confusion for so many people due to poor choice of wording.

This is the card that has come with this box

It has the products listed and a description of what they are. It also shows if they are full sized or are travel size and the Rrp of each individual product. You also get a sneak peek of one of the products you will receive in April's box.

So the first product I received was a 'Sleep Repair Renewal Nourishing Mask' by MUDMASKY. It is a mask that you wear overnight and then rinse off the next morning. It says it's made from raw all-natural ingredients and hydrates and soothes and smooths your skin.

The second product in the box was a 'Soft Focus Pore Perfect HD+ by Figs & Rouge. It is a weightless, matte Serum designed to minimise the appearance of pores.

The third product I received was a 'Warm Nude Lipstick' by ORYZA BEAUTY. It says it's a semi-matte and satin finish. Okay, so this product is really not good. I did do a swatch of it on my hand and it is a gorgeous pigmented nude lipstick. However, the lipstick itself smells honestly like burning plastic. And looking on social media at what others have to say, a lot of others have been having the same issue with their lipstick. Glossybox have told me to leave it alone and they will update everyone as soon as Oryza give a response.

The fourth product I got was a 'SILICONE SPONGE' by Make Up Drop. To be honest I'm kind of meh about this product just because I've read so many reviews on silicone sponges, read blog posts and watched youtube reviews and most people seem to really have a hard time with these blenders and it's a lot of hard work to get the sponge to work. So to me it just seems pointless. I don't know if I'll end up trying it just to see or give it away to a relative who might be more interested.

The final product I received wasn't actually on the card and was a repeat product I received in a previous box. It was a blush creme by Apicia. I am unhappy about having a repeat product, particularly when it's a repeat product I received not long ago. Glossybox did respond to my issue and said it was a mix up but I am not the only one to receive the same product again and not only this product as well. Personally, I think they had left over stock they needed to use up. And if that was the case then they could have easily sold off the stock instead. I haven't been offered a product to be sent out which is quite disappointing. I feel that's the right thing Glossybox should be doing.

Here is a list of the products again and their Rrp.

1. Sleep Repair Renewal Nourishing Mask by MUDMASKY - (It doesn't say if it's full sized or not) £61

2. Soft Focus Pore Perfect HD+ by Figs & Rouge - FULL SIZED - £35

3. Warm Nude Lipstick by Oryza Beauty. - FULL SIZED - £15.95

4. Silicone sponge by Makeup Drop. - FULL SIZED - £14.50

5. Cream Blush by Apicia - FULL SIZED - £22

So I am kind of disappointed with this months box just because I'm not happy to receive the same product from a recent box and the lipstick is unusable so I feel like I've wasted my money.

I'm really hoping these issues going on are temporary as I love getting a Glossybox every month and would hate to have to look elsewhere.

For anyone else who gets Glossybox, what product did you receive? And how did you feel about this months box?

Sorting through outfits for the Summer - Daytime dresses (Part 1)

Hi all,

So.....

We have had a big amount of snow over here that has lasted for the past few days and because I'm itching for some better weather (Honestly, I'm just done with the cold now) and have been really feeling impatient for the Summer to come round, I figured it was time (What with Spring now upon us) to sort through my clothes, slowly pulling Winter stuff back and bringing out my Summer stuff instead.

Okay, actually I have seperate places for each season that's already in order...ish. Kind of. But I have so many clothes, that having the room to store all of them is kind of an issue. I think I mentioned in my 'about me' post that I am seriously a massive fashion junkie and I absolutely adore clothes. Probably a bit too much but there you go.

I have slowed down buying clothes as of this year; only buying clothes I actually need. And donating a massive amount of clothes too to help with space but unfortunately I am still lacking room. I mean I have room to store clothes in boxes but I just seriously hate clothes folded away, be it a chest of drawers or boxes pushed under your bed. I think clothes can be so expensive, so I want to see them hung up and with easy access to. Plus, I think it's easier to put an outfit together when you can see what's in front of you.

Anyway, I've gone on a massive ramble and haven't even gotten to the actual point of this post.

So I have a double wardrobe at the moment holding all of my colder weather wearing clothes and a big rail holding warmer weather stuff. Plus a few boxes of stuff and a suitcase with a bit of everything in them.

I do have this rule that if I don't wear any thing over a period of time I get rid of it no matter what. So I've been doing this thing where I try and not wear the same few outfits and I've been really enjoying wearing different outfits and getting my money worth. And this is what I plan to do again this coming Summer.

And I'm rambling again.

Basically I've been sorting through my stuff, making extra room on my Summer rail for the pieces lying around and pulling some winter stuff out of my wardrobe for some of my clothes that are in boxes and other places.

I have sorted through all of my dresses to begin with; which isn't that many for how many clothes I have but enough for the Summer I think.

I have picked about twelve Summer dresses for daytime wear and have put them on my rail ready and aim to wear them a few times this year.

I'm going to post six of the outfits here on this post and then the other six on a part 2 so this doesn't become too long like it already is.

Onto the dresses.

The first one is a gorgeous powder blue skater dress. I did wear this a few times last year and it's honestly perfect for the warm weather. It looks great with sandals, heels or even trainers. Honestly, skater dresses look great on everybody. If you don't own a skater dress I'd definitely recommend to you on buying one.

I also really love long dresses and I'm absolutely addicted to Summer clothes that are stripe designed. I also wore this dress quite a bit last summer and plan to again this summer. It's so comfortable.

And another stripey dress.

And this cute blue and white stripe dress is so gorgeous with a pair of nude court shoes or white heels. I usually have a belt with it so it doesn't look so straight if that makes sense.

Yet again another stripe design dress. (I did say I was obsessed)

And another black and white stripe dress

So that is part 1 showing six of the twelve dresses that I plan to wear this Summer. I'm sorry for the long and kind of pointless ramble but I didn't really want to just post the six dresses with little text just because it feels very not bloggy and pointless for a blog post.

I will post a part 2 with the other six dresses soon.

If anyone else does these kind of blog posts let me know because I love clothes and fashion so much.
