What I bought from Wish

Hey guys,

I'm back with another blog post (I swear I'm doing an intro for Youtube or something. I never know how to start a blog post so a 'hey' seems comfortable to me.)

I felt like I needed to explain that because if it's bugging me slightly maybe it is to everyone else who reads my content. Who knows.

Anyway....

I don't know if everybody has heard of Wish but basically they are this shopping app where you can buy a ton of different stuff (Clothes, makeup, tools, etc) and a lot of products you get dirt cheap or just pay postage costs for. It's a safe site; You can pay through PayPal (I find this a must for me when purchasing to be honest) and it's straight forward to navigate the app too.

Wish is pretty much like Aliexpress and Alibaba in terms of quality and prices. You get what you pay for and sometimes you get lucky and get an absolute steal and other times you don't. But it's fun to have a browse and pay a few pounds for some stuff to try out.

So I purchased a total of seven things from Wish which cost me a total of £7.80. The postage cost me an additional £7 as the items were from individual sellers but it was still pretty darn cheap.

I tried to look for just beauty related products and they had a heck load of makeup but I just wasn't comfortable with purchasing anything like that as they seemed to have a lot of fake makeup on the site and I'm just not comfortable with trying out fake makeup. I have nothing against those who know what the risks are and choose to use fake makeup but it's not something I would want to do and certainly not put that out there on my social media and blog.

So, yeah, it was quite hard to find products that weren't actual makeup items but I managed to find a few things and did have to buy some other random bits too.

I got myself a pack of beauty blending sponges. These came in a pack of four. These cost me £1.

I also got myself a powder brush. It's a big brush with a gold handle. It feels pretty sturdy and the bristles are really soft but for the price it is pretty flimsy. The bristles are that is. It also cost me £1.

I also got some of these shadow shields for your eyes. I'm pretty crap at eyeshadow but am learning and these seem to be handy to use, especially to catch fall out from products and to help with blending as I'm not the best at adding dark colours to the outer corner of my eyes and blending it out so I'm going to start using these to practice with. These also cost me £1 for a pack of 30.

Another product I purchased was a heart shape sponge which is supposedly meant to remove hair from your body. I tried this out and it's an absolute waste of time. It does absolutely nothing. This only cost me £1 too.

These were pretty much the only beauty related products I could find at the time on the app.

I purchased this surprise box thingy which you get a surprise necklace. I wasn't expecting much for £0.95 but this came. Ummm, I would never wear anything like this, regardless of whether I'm into that kind of thing. It's just not me. For £0.95 I really can't say much. It would have been nice to have got something else but oh well.

Another item I got was this cute scented candle. It doesn't actually smell nice at all but it's a really gorgeous design and they have loads of different ones. They were advertised as bigger on the app and are about the size of a lighter but the candle is still really pretty. It also cost me £0.95.

The last thing I got (and which is probably my absolute favourite thing I bought) is a cute storage basket/box. They have loads and loads of different colours to choose from and I really love this pastel green colour. The lid does seem to be a slightly different colour but it's still really pretty. The basket cost me £1.90.

So that is everything I purchased which they are not all that bad for the price and then of course some things are just an absolute waste of space. As I said though, you really do get what you pay for and for the price it's fun to try stuff out. I could have made this more interesting if I purchased a load of makeup but I'm just not into the whole fake makeup thing.

If you have purchased off Wish let me know what your experience was and what stuff you got.

And if you read my blog posts frequently please say hello as I don't actually know if anybody is reading much of my stuff and how accurate my stats are. I would really appreciate that.

♥️
